Archery is the art, practice, or skill of propelling arrows with the use of a bow. Archery has historically been used for hunting and combat; in modern times, however, its main use is that of a recreational activity. One who practises archery is typically known as an "archer" or "bowman," and one who is fond of or an expert at archery can be referred to as a "toxophilite."
Noah, Grandpa and Uncle Dan all competed today at our first archery tournament. We all enjoyed watching and tromping through the woods, it was just what we all needed!
Stimulation, a little friendly competition and some fresh air. Archery is a sport that my boys absolutely LOVE! Although only Noah competed this time I am sure that Joshua will be right up there next time and then Moses and Micah and then Simeon and Job Isaiah! (A bunch of little Robin Hoods but without the tights!)
Archery is a sport that the whole family can enjoy and do together and if you interested in exploring more about it check out my father-in-laws store, Straight'N' Arrow Sports.
